Chiel Construction Ltd History

Chiel Construction Ltd has been in business since early 2003, 3 directors formed the company with an ethos of providing a can-do approach with regards to their clients. Working on educational, industrial, and commercial projects the company has built up a solid blue-chip client base and an extensive portfolio of projects with prices ranging from £50 to £5 Million.

In 2005 Chiel became one of the framework contractors for the University of Warwick and has been since. Also in 2020, Chiel became a framework contractors for the University of Birmingham. Being a framework contractor is a prestigious position for Chiel. In recent years despite the economic downturn and the COVID-19 pandemic, here at Chiel we have continued down the path of success, in completing projects to a high standard, increasing the number of staff on site and within the office.

Looking forward into 2024, training of site and office staff continues, as does the “can do” attitude behind the formation of the company.

Site Operatives

At Chiel Construction Ltd, our construction projects come to life through the dedication and expertise of our site operatives. As the frontline ambassadors of our commitment to excellence, safety, and precision, our site operatives play a pivotal role in shaping the physical landscape of our communities.

We understand that the success of our projects hinges on the skills, diligence, and teamwork of our site operatives. From skilled trades such as carpentry and masonry to equipment operators and laborers, each member of our site team contributes to the realization of our construction visions.

All staff working on-site hold relevant CSCS cards and attend asbestos awareness courses every year. All staff in control of plant machinery hold relevant and up-to-date licenses. On large projects, regular inspections are carried out by an external Health and Safety consultant to ensure standards on site remain high at all times. All staff attend training sessions on the regular to ensure any changes in CDM regulations and Health and Safety policy are adhered to. Chiel is committed to continuous improvement in our Health and Safety standards, working with Health and Safety Consultants, Construction Safety Advisory Services Ltd to ensure that the highest standards are in place and continually improved where possible.
