Projects In-Depth

Cromwell Residential – Phoenix House Student Accommodation – Value: £1,250,000

What started as a derelict warehouse, has now been transformed into 5 floors of student accommodation and amenities.

Central Law Training – Construction of New Office Facility Project Value £156,000

The project involved the demolition of an existing single storey office facility that was surplus to the clients requirements and in such a state of dilapidation that repair of the property wasn’t an option.

The existing superstructure was demolished with the floor slab retained due to the clients requirements to save costs where possible. The floor slab was cut to allow for foundations to be poured for the new blockwork to be constructed.  Following the pouring of the foundations the walls for form the new building were constructed.

Construction of the External Walls

The new ground floor was laid with an innovative self- levelling screed, “agillia”. Once the external blockwork skin was formed all that remained was to construct the roof and clad the external faces of the building. The works carried out over one of the most disruptive winters the UK has seen was completed within the clients budget and timescales.
